Seeing is Believing: High-Quality CGI for Exterior Presentations
Architectural visualization is a key tool in modern design. It allows you to realize ideas in a realistic digital format even before construction work begins. Our project to visualize the exterior of a country house is an example of how photorealistic 3D visualization emphasizes the architectural concept, style, textures, and atmosphere of an object.
#1 Scope of work
The client ordered visualization of the exterior from two angles.
To accomplish the task, we provided:
- Revit model;
- PDF file with the plan;
- detailed information about the location and photos taken during the construction phase;
- photos of building materials;
Our CGI Studio team got to work, taking into account all the customer's wishes regarding style, materials and lighting.
#2. Workflow for creating a CGI exterior
The 3D modeling and rendering process consisted of several stages:
- Modeling: An accurate model of the house was created in 3ds Max according to the provided drawings.
- Texturing: We used materials from our extensive library, which includes roofing, facade, stone and wood textures.
- Lighting settings: We implemented natural daylighting to convey a realistic atmosphere.
- Rendering: Visualizations were made in high resolution, in a photorealistic style, taking into account the exact location of the object on the site.
#3. Advantages of the CGI approach
Thanks to 3D visualization services, we were able to quickly make adjustments to materials, facade colors, roof configurations, and even the landscape. This significantly saves time and resources compared to physical mockups.
CGI outsourcing gave the client the opportunity to work with our team remotely without losing the quality of the result. We maintained constant communication, promptly provided
preliminary renders, and takes into account the client's wishes at every stage.
#4. The result
In the end, the client received a photorealistic 3D visualization that fully met his expectations. Two finished views clearly demonstrate the architecture of the object, the type of finish and the atmosphere of the site. This allowed us to effectively present the project to investors and visually validate the concept.
